Transfer of a staff-curated host account
Staff can create a host and listings so travelers can still find your service before you have an account. Account transfer gives you control of the same host, including its listings. Transfer is done by staff, not through a self-serve claim link or code.
How do I know my listing is curated?
You may see your listing on Myopentrip without ever registering. The public host or product page can also show curation information. Contact support if you see your service without a host account.
How do I take over the account?
- Contact host support and name the listing or host you mean.
- Staff verify your ownership, for example through WhatsApp conversation and identity proof.
- After verification, staff transfer the account and send a password-reset link to the host account email.
- Open that link and set your own password.
Staff will never ask for your password. Transfer does not use a verification code or a public claim link.
What happens after the account is transferred?
Host ownership becomes claimed. Listings stay on the same host. Continue onboarding, identity verification, and bank details if they are incomplete. Customer checkout still needs the applicable eligibility requirements.
What if I cannot use the same email?
Transfer sends the reset link to the host account email. If that email is not yours, discuss it with host support before the transfer. Do not create a second host account with a different email for the same listing.
What if there is a dispute?
Staff can mark an ownership dispute. During a dispute, transfers and ownership changes are blocked. Open a support ticket and prepare business proof or rights to the listing.
