Submit a listing for review
Listing status and review status are different. A publicly visible listing is not always ready for checkout.
How do I submit a listing?
- Complete the draft until listing readiness passes.
- Submit the listing from the dashboard.
- The system stores a product revision.
- Staff review the submission.
A submission can be rejected by a content filter if the text breaks moderation rules. Fix the text, then submit again.
What do review results mean?
- Pending: waiting for staff.
- Approved: the listing can follow the public and checkout flow if other requirements pass.
- Revision required: staff ask for changes. Fix them, then submit again.
- Rejected: the listing is not in the approved flow.
What happens if I change an approved listing?
Large changes can create a new revision. Approved public data is not replaced immediately without review. Wait for revision approval before treating the change as live.
Why can customers still not check out after listing approval?
Checkout also needs active marketplace payments, claimed host ownership, and identity, phone, and bank verification when those rules are on. An approved listing without those requirements stays in inquiry mode.
