Guest quota and minimum quota on trip dates
Set quota on the dates tab of a trip listing. Meetups use a separate rule. Do not mix trip-date quota with meetup Confirmed (Pasti Jalan).
How do I set guest quota?
- Open the trip listing in the host dashboard.
- Open the dates tab.
- Add or edit a departure date.
- Enter the guest quota for that date.
Guest quota is the number of participant seats that can be booked on that date. Each participant in a booking uses one seat. The host does not use that seat. If you do not limit quota, that date can accept bookings without a seat cap.
What is a minimum quota before departure?
You can mark that the date needs a minimum number of booked participants. Enter that minimum on the date form. The host dashboard marks the date as open, filling, or ready from the booking count against that minimum.
Minimum quota is a planning signal. The system does not cancel bookings automatically if the minimum is not met. If the service cannot run, cancel the booking through the host-cancellation flow.
How is this different from meetup Confirmed?
A meetup becomes Confirmed after 2 guests join. The meetup organizer does not use the guest quota. Trip-date quota counts booked participants on that date. Do not subtract one seat for yourself on a trip date.
What do travelers see?
Travelers see remaining seats when they book. The system checks remaining quota again at checkout. An inquiry does not lock quota.
